Friday, December 21, 2018 - Annual BYO. Mid red with some ageing, looks almost burgundian. Very expressive nose of tobacco, cedar, some sous bois and red fruits. Some tannin on the palate but nicely integrated. Blackcurrant, sandalwood with some earthy notes and good acidity. Long leathery finish, Lovely, elegant, old fashioned, unparkerised. Drinking at peak. Our consensus was that the acidity might dominate in the future as the fruit fades so enjoy now.
