Saturday, December 22, 2018 - Only able to decant an hour, sadly, but distinct aromas of cherry and strawberry with bakers chocolate and vanilla secondary. Medium body was polished, opulent, complex. Smooth tannin and angular acidity. Red fruit and berry over time balanced with pepper and anise. Sweet finish, almost with clove. A dynamite bottle paired beautifully with rack of lamb and pescatore pasta. This is my favorite Brunello so far.
