Wednesday, December 26, 2018 - Quite easy to drink. The nose is tight with sour red fruit and spice, pine forest, graphite, tar, and crushed cloves.

Smooth and creamy texture with ample raspberry, sour cherry, and cranberry fruit with light herb and earth flavors mid-palette. The fruit ripens nicely on the medium long finish where strawberry emerges. Leaves a nice taste in the mouth a minute later.

This wine is clearly hitting its stride and is in peak drinking window as these wines are not built for long term cellaring. Seems like the sweet spot is 6-8 years after vintage. This bottle was much better than the 2010 I drank recently.
