Saturday, January 5, 2019 - Opened to breathe for an hour. This young wine is very elegant, a feminine expression of Barbaresco. The nose has soft cedar, baking spices, hints of vanilla and alcohol (14%). Medium bodied on the palate with red fruit, leather, spices, acid and tannins. Charming, complex, and easy to drink. This will benefit from a few more years in the cellar but is accessible now. Pumped down overnight, good but less complex on Day 2. 91/92
