Tuesday, January 22, 2019 - Perfect fill and cork. Beautiful mature nose displaying sweet red fruit, strawberry jam, cherry, dry cherry, strong tobacco and leather, a hint of ash, sous bois, sap and limestone mineral. Beautifully integrated palate, very finely layered sweet yet pure red fruit, silky and polished, bright acidity and mineral, and a long sweet red fruit driven finish with tobacco and sous bois at the end. Apparently it consists of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. I am guessing a Rhone red blend. This is drinking beautifully as there is very generous fruit. A great testament to the importance of proper cellaring.
