Saturday, March 2, 2019 - Decanter for 1 hour. No notes. Growing up before I got into wine I always wanted to try the silver oak, Caymus Special Select and Opus One of the worlds.... well now I know better as each time I go back I am always disappointed (except years ago when I felt they still made a compelling wine). Wine is nice but lacks the full depth and complexity of a large number of wines in the $125-$175 price point. Lot of oak influences stands out with cassis as the main components. Does have a sweet lovely nose. Multiple steps up from the Caymus regular which now is just a fruit and vanilla bomb.
