Wednesday, March 6, 2019 - Special wine that’s phenomenal now and will only improve. This has everything. The nose is expressive with exotic fruit brightened by cooler-toned citrus. And the palate is an melange of ripe, concentrated Riesling fruit, some bitter citrus, intense minerality (as Steinertal always seems to have), and electric acidity. This is opulent and bold—indeed, it’s grand—but it’s only medium-weight and it’s so well put together than the overal impression is elegant and effortless. And yet, I feel like this is still holding something in reserve. Astonishing QPR and I wish I had bought a case.
