Friday, March 15, 2019 - Drank with the lovely Lily.

A beautiful Zin with a bouquet of aromas like dark red fruit, white pepper, and boysenberry/raspberry puree. A lovely and elegant wine that is more balanced and pleasurable than the '14. This wine's peppery notes continued to increase significantly with more air and began to dominate the wine (but not overly so). This evolution reminded me of the complexity of a 2006 L'Aventure Optimus I had in 2013, which was my epiphany wine, so this was just a beautiful thing to reminisce over.

Fantastic wine and a truly great effort from Ridge. This is why I'll always be a buyer of their Geyserville.
