Dead-on cranberry sauce. Tart red fruit, slight hint of VA. Lovely dusty cinnamon/clove notes - perfectly integrated oak for this stage. No hints of pyrazines.
Some christmasy / gingerbread notes. Tart blackberry.
Fantastic. Full-bodied, feels 14.7%, with strong medium plus acid, ripe blackberry, blackcurrant, and gingerbread on the palate. High tannins - chewy and... rocky?

It's on the riper side, but also has lovely florals. It makes me think of mountains, rather than the tightly controlled construction of, say, Spottswoode. A bit wild and sweet-savory.
