Saturday, April 20, 2019 - There is written evidence that the first vines were planted on the Villacreces Estate in the 13th Century. During the 14th Century, the vineyard was run by Saint Pedro de Villacreces and later on, became a monastery. In 2003 the Anton family, owners of Rioja Bodega Izadi and one of Spain’s most famous Michelin starred restaurants in the Basque country, purchased the estate and invested in revitalizing both the estate and the vineyards.
The wine looks purple colored. The legs are medium. It smells like blackberry, blueberry and black pepper. The body is light/medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has low acidity.
