Friday, March 8, 2019 - 14.5% alcohol; imported by Saranty Imports, White Plaines, NY; 95% Syrah, 5% Mourvèdre; 'JR' stands for Joseph Torres, the winemaker's (owner's?) great grandfather; Saranty, like some importers, incorrectly uses the decimal comma '14,5%' in the English part of the label; paper-thin foil, real cork, medium legs, dark purple; weak nose, some fruit; vinturied and tasted at ca 15 degrees C; notes of apples, minerals, citrus, rhubarb, trace of vanilla; nice balance if fruit and subdued tannins; pair with hard cheese, or drink solo
