Thursday, July 18, 2019 - Picked this value Chianti up as a possible party option to try out, and I think it fits the bill for that or would be a fine house wine for the bargain price of $8. Medium ruby color with transparency. Aromas of cherry, strawberry, earth, and cedar. I can see the cinnamon previously mentioned as well. Medium body and acid, medium(-) finish, although a bit of spice teases it out a bit, and flavors of cherry, black cherry, plum, lemon, and spice. This is really not too bad, and certainly a decent QPR. Pizza, pasta, red sauces, balsamic chicken for the pairing. 86-87
