Sunday, August 4, 2019 - Bring out the old familiar friend. Classic d’Yquem. Some brûlée. Dried apricots, forals and pollen, orange peel, spicy. The palate is on the dry side a bit, with some apricots, dried fruit, brown sugar and brûlée. Not a historic Yquem but wonderful and just great for the occasion. Not high acid but the alcohol provides good body and structure. Nose - 5/6, Palate - 5/6, Finish - 5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 16.5/20.
