Saturday, August 24, 2019 - Color la ruby turning to magenta....the nose is open on red cherries, guarigue and pepper. The intensity of the aroma is puzzling for a second wine ! just oozing complexity. In the mouth acidity is medium high, tannins are medium high and alcohol is medium. The entry is refreshing with notes of red cherries herbs licorice transitioning to structured tannins that are still drying and an impressive finish again I cant believe this is the "second wine"....what will the 2016 beaucastel taste like of this is like this !!! stock up on this guys....I was worried alcohol levels would be high but not the case...this will hit the sweet spot in a few years.
