Friday, September 13, 2019 - Beautiful nose red and blue fruits - strawberry, sweet cherry and raspberry. Beautiful spices. Some meat/blood. Some balsam or something. Floral. I'm beginning to get the Lignier wines more: they have a high-toned brightness and intensity on both the nose and palate, not quite citric but very lively and juicy. The palate has great fruit, savory and meat. Wild. Lots of flavor but again very lively and energetic without being weighty or heavy. The palate was tighter than the nose, so I decided to let it wait, but my glass seemed to be opening and then closed down, so I didn't get a formal score in real time. Nose - 5.5/6, Palate - 5-5.5/6, Finish - 5-5.5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 17-18/20.
