Friday, September 13, 2019 - During winery visit. This is the second time I am tasting this, the first time was right after bottling and while very good, there was a touch of warmth that was worrying me a little. This seems better integrated now, but the opulence of the vintage is coming through a little bit in most of the wines.

Typical Serralunga aromatics of dark and dark red cherries, dark plum, tobacco, tar, ash cedar wood, dark spices, licorice and some dried flowers too. It's full-bodied, dense and pretty powerful, with medium-high acidity providing balance and freshness and pretty high tannin that is recognizable but very good quality. Long finish. A powerful, structured and complex Ca' Mia with an extra level of fruit. (94+)
