Monday, October 28, 2019 - Clear golden. Ripe smell, autolysis, brioche, hints of wood and grape must and skin. Bubbles could ideally have been finer, but taste is fairly well balanced albeit a touch too mature and tiny bit too sweet to harmonize ideally. However, the lingering acidity from the chardonnay with the spices from noir and oak accompanies the rest of the palate rather nicely. And compared other similarly priced bubblies, in particular those grown in warmer regions, this is actually pretty decent stuff.
