2007 Bonneau du Martray Corton

90 Points

Thursday, November 7, 2019 - Dense, tart red fruit punctuated by baking spice. Refreshingly, a bit lighter than most of what I’ve tasted from the appellation, but still with quite a sleekly muscular structure. It softened and became more interesting with air, but after about 90 minutes notes emerged that revealed its age. I wouldn’t wait too much longer to give it a go. Or maybe it just needs to get over that hump to become something greater. What the hell do I know.
