Tuesday, January 5, 2016 - Screwcap, 11% alc. A surprisingly youthful pale gold with hints of green.

Classic Riesling nose of lime, bath salts, and anise.

Sour-edged fruit, lacking vibrancy in the mouth. Comes across a little flat compared with the expressive nose. A lot of honey (but not at all sweet) and toast is a good indication that this wine is already 12 years old. Bone dry with firm acidity. Penetrating length, filling out the back palate.

Opinion: Hard to see this improving from here, as it lacks fruit vibrancy to carry further age.
