Peter Lehman Masterclass (Bel & Brio, Barangaroo): Kerosene, honey, slight butter, toast, crystallised lime, and back to being exceedingly juicy and for me a little tart but the tertiary characteristics really helps the wine out and lends complexity and interest but this isn't for me.

Light gold, shot with green. Tons of lime, rounded by honey. Some floral notes. Excellent acidity and good length. Very good wine, excellent QPR. Not changed much over recent years either. Maybe a touch more finesses/elegance and a little sharper.

Has this been kept too long. Seemed thinner than before. But still fine acidity and petrol character. Maybe less obvious lime and honey. Definite floral character though. Fairly long too. Maybe I'm being too harsh.

Screwcap, 11% alc. A surprisingly youthful pale gold with hints of green.
Classic Riesling nose of lime, bath salts, and anise.
Sour-edged fruit, lacking vibrancy in the mouth. Comes across a little flat compared with the expressive nose. A lot of honey (but not at all sweet) and toast is a good indication that this wine is already 12 years old. Bone dry with firm acidity. Penetrating length, filling out the back palate.
Opinion: Hard to see this improving from here, as it lacks fruit vibrancy to carry further age.

Screwcap. 11% alc. Bright and clear fluorescent yellow/gold with a hint of green hue remaining. Powerful sweet smelling nose of lime, bath salts, and sherbet. A touch of pineapple and gun smoke in the background A full and slightly waxy mouthfeel. Finishes sour with unclean/burnt mouthfeel. Long, but lacks delicacy. Some kero and dark honey developing.
Opinion: Perhaps looked better on release. Tidy wine, but nothing special. Interesting, but somewhat hard-going without food. Opened up more on night 2 and presents less tart at warmer serving temperatures.
