Thursday, December 26, 2019 - The 2009s from the Langhe are growing on me, similar to 2009 Burgundy. Where many Barolo had roasted fruit notes on release, ten years on they are finding balance — even a somewhat classical form, albeit not destined for a long life. Wild strawberry, rose, and mint. Lighter weight structure but sufficient acidity to support a wonderful sense of freshness. Very good! Drink now through 2028.
