Saturday, December 28, 2019 - Popped and poured. Drinking splendidly now, with a tinge of maturity to the flavors and texture. Very 2009. This is a broad-scaled wine with moderate depth of flavor, rich and expansive but not heavy. Open for business and it does seem the merlot component dominates. Some nutty flavors towards the end of the bottle. Good acidity, great with food. Not the smoothest tannins but not entirely rustic either. This has plenty of further development left ahead, another decade at least. Very enjoyable.
