Monday, January 13, 2020 - Ready to drink, this is one of the better right bank performers from the vintage which really belonged to the left bank. It still benefits from a couple of hours in the decanter. The nose is deep with blackcurrant, blackberry, and plum, and really comes alive after some time in the glass. The tannin is quite prominent on the palate, but is resolved, and the finish is lengthy. It is an uncomplicated and very enjoyable wine, and great value for money if bought at the time. This should stay at this level for the next 5 years or so.
