Wednesday, January 29, 2020 - My first experience with refosco. Needed an hour in the decanter to open up. Very plush and round tannins. Loads of black fruit. Some olive and a nice mineral spine. Reminded me of a Cab Franc from the loire. Really a very nice wine but the way prices have sky-rocketed I won't be loading up the truck. As I have no other experience with this wine/grape I would be curious to see how this develops with more bottle age.
