90 Points

Thursday, March 26, 2020 - Same color as my General Tso's Chicken (similar to a spicy orange chicken), low nose for gewurz, but in the mouth, full of burnt toffee, slight nuttiness, some slight bitter herbs-root notes, not much else. Quite sweet, on the verge of being a true desert wine. The sugar and age really seemed to mask the Gewurz character. Went OK with the slightly sweet, and very spicy chicken, but still would have prefered a drier wine, with more spice character. This was in good shape, fun, interesting, but not that complex. I would choose a creme brulee next time to go with.
