Thursday, April 30, 2020 - This week’s bottle for the our virtual Burgundy group tasting. Opened 3 hour prior, initially red flowers and some tertiary, aged aromas that blew off in the first hour or so.

Delineated and precise red fruit aromas. Dried cherries, cherry balsam, dried cranberries. Purity of fruit on display here. The vintage’s ripeness is certainly evident, but impeccably balanced with a linear, mineral core that supports an extended finish. Developing sous bois elements round this wine out beautifully. Structurally robust - elevated acidity and plenty of tannin that has yet to fully resolve. Long distance runner. Strong showing.
