Good red fruit on the nose. Cranberry and some strawberry there. Very tasty. Good juicy palate with nice finish. Drinking well but suspect it will be good another ten years.

Zoom Burgundy Tasting: Slow-ox for 2 hours and then decanted and drank over 2 hours. Rose petal and cherry liqueur initially on the nose. Then bright pure cherry and dried cranberry fruit with more rose aromatics. Some wet forest floor and subtle ash/smoke starts to show up a few hours in. Tons of minerality and bright acid on the attack with a tough of grip still there. Virtually no oak to speak of. More depth than I would have imagined. This is certainly on the prettier side of the MSD spectrum but still some nice, brooding characteristics. This should hang here for another decade easy. The fruit was absolutely pure and clean. Pure class from Perrot-Minot once again.

This week’s bottle for the our virtual Burgundy group tasting. Opened 3 hour prior, initially red flowers and some tertiary, aged aromas that blew off in the first hour or so.
Delineated and precise red fruit aromas. Dried cherries, cherry balsam, dried cranberries. Purity of fruit on display here. The vintage’s ripeness is certainly evident, but impeccably balanced with a linear, mineral core that supports an extended finish. Developing sous bois elements round this wine out beautifully. Structurally robust - elevated acidity and plenty of tannin that has yet to fully resolve. Long distance runner. Strong showing.

Opened 4 hrs ahead, then decanted for 30 more minutes. Firm structure but steadily opened over 60 minutes of drinking. Very fine. Dark red berry fruit. First class. Has years left, but very rewarding now.

Firm but the fruit is developing nicely. At its best approximately 2-1/2 hours after opening. Steadily opened; initial linear quality revealed subtlety and fragrance with time & air. High quality.

Strong, deep fruit dominates the entry. Dark cherry with a firm yet beckoning fragrance. A big wine, but classic Burgundy character. Structure to continue to improve, and the fruit to back it up. Decanted 90 minutes; broadened somewhat, and overall more openly attractive than expected. Excellent.

PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs; from 375 -nearly opaque dark red, no bricking -dusty but ripe creamy cherry Burg funk some oak -barely med acidity, med+ weight somewhat unctuous fading sweet black cherry, med/med+ tannins and some sweet oak on the moderately long finish -a bit clunky, modern styled but still clearly from Burgundy, could probably benefit from another few years especially if the wood further inetgrates

It's always fun to try a bottle from the 05 vintage and this one turned out to be pretty darn yummy. Fruits are starting to settle down into a pretty bouquet and elegant mid palate. Happy to know I have plenty to track progress in the coming years.

Had this with the Chambolle 2005. Very forward nose of ash and rotting wood. Potent acidity and a sweetness on the palate. I might not have enjoyed these elements on their own, but the texture is so silky that the wine pulls it off beautifully. Will probably improve, but not sure about the balance.

In a great place. Lots of red cranberry and raspberry like fruit with nice acidity on the finish. Very enjoyable. Lots of life left.
