Sunday, May 3, 2020 - Kracher's Pinot Gris is a superb candidate for demonstrating that Austria can make world class Pinot Gris as great as New Zealand and the Loire River Valley in France. Vivid acidity, excel concentration, mouth coating, and well textured, capped by complex fruits of citrus, gooseberry, and sour apple. But do not just pop and pour this wine. Wait at least one full day after opening it before drinking it, in order to get anything better than sour water. Kracher is rightly famous for his world class sweet wines, but this shows he can also make great dry white wines.
