Sunday, May 3, 2020 - With the beautiful weather we had in NJ yesterday I set up my patio for proper soical distancing and had some friends over. Years ago I bought some magnums from the winery when they were having a fundraiser for victims of the typhoon. I opened the magnum and poured it into separate decanters so that each couple would have their own to eliminate the need of passing a bottle around. The nose was red fruit. The color was deep rust. The palate was dark cherry, strawberry, red plums and a hint of Asian spices. The finish was moderate in length. Really enjoyable especially to share with good friends who we had not been able to see in two months.
