Monday, May 4, 2020 - Perhaps this is just a bit young at this point. It is tannic with high acidity, but it is not very expressive or complex in its nose/flavors at this point. A little powdered sugar smell initially and somewhat sweet start, but both quickly went away revealing a very nice wine. This is a very clean, light bodied wine, surprising given the southern Beaune styles I am used to. Not quite as dark in color as typical Santenay, but not overly pale either. It may just need some time in the cellar to develop more complexity and become more expressive. Try again in a few years.
