  • This is enjoyable and has nice qpr. The nose is not complex, but there's no brett and it seems to be coiled up a bit still - maybe there's more to come in the future? The palate has nice sweet fruit - maybe a hair thin and not in waves, but quite nice. Very little to no sign of age on the palate. The tannins are fine, but quite massive and a bit drying on the finish. The acidity is nicely balanced. 13% abv is perfect and balanced.

  • I have a cold, so no rating on this bottle. But, it seems dull on the nose and quite drying on the palate - fruit seems to be underripe a bit and lacking in persistence/substance. Quick finish.

  • Perhaps this is just a bit young at this point. It is tannic with high acidity, but it is not very expressive or complex in its nose/flavors at this point. A little powdered sugar smell initially and somewhat sweet start, but both quickly went away revealing a very nice wine. This is a very clean, light bodied wine, surprising given the southern Beaune styles I am used to. Not quite as dark in color as typical Santenay, but not overly pale either. It may just need some time in the cellar to develop more complexity and become more expressive. Try again in a few years.
