Monday, June 15, 2020 - The 2012 Rhys Family Farm Vineyard has a gorgeous pale violet color. The nose is rather muted at the moment. Flavors of cherry kirsch, black tea, eucalyptus, and earth are supported by a salty, briney, finish. This is much more juicy and as a result is missing a lot of the energy and tension I expect out of a Rhys Pinot Noir. This is one of the few Rhys that I think I would have enjoyed far more in its youth.
