2018 Château Simone Palette Rosé

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

Saturday, July 4, 2020 - A very serious rosé, almost just a light bodied red, with deep cherry and strawberry fruit and even some sweet peach, some notes of earth and cinnamon stick and other spice, red flowers, garrigue. There’s modest tannin, M to M+ acid, M- body for a red or full body for a rosé. Dry but with a suggestion of sweetness anyway from all the juicy fruit. This is excellent and would be great with a wide range of food; we had it with cheeseburgers and herbes de Provence roasted potatoes, and also with cherry pie for dessert. This is a wine that should make almost anyone happy, no matter your stylistic preference. Best rosé I’ve had, not that I’ve had a ton of high end rosé. ~8.5/10
