Provence (Mexicantown): This pour is the fifth and final in a flight of Provençal rosé wines across two domaines and seven years. Four years ago, this tasted of punch bowl—sticky and alcoholic. Now, desiccated, the elegance of its skeleton is bare. TASTE: impacted, stained glass vibrant fruit and scented sap. This is more remote than its 2020 sibling, sealed as it is under a glaze of biological time. Subtle eruptions of strawberry cured with brown spices and leather; dried lemon peel; orange seed; nutrient soil; marmalade; adhesive tannins. Notice spirited, sticky shades of eucalyptus. It's boozy, and intensely yielding of flavor; spined skin; lime, mint, lingonberry; marsh; driftwood; charcoal. I could be persuaded this bottle has seen its peak, with a caveat: this cuvée is licensed to suprise in that regard. 91 points at 45° F. 94 points at 60° F. At 80° F, 100. ________ 24 hours later, it has paced through the usual compression and blooming familiar to table wines of its age and stature. There's lots of text here, and beckoning reservation. It exemplifies certain virtues I associate with Bordeaux and Burgundy. (Is it's relationship to those storied references schizoid, or synthetic? Anyway, that's the contest that animates the dialog.)
Hitting it's stride. Velvet tannins, texturally pleasurable, macerated strawberry with an interesting medicinal quality to it, without being too bitter. Also reminds me of apple skin on the finish.

Quite young, aromatic, spicy. Strawberry notes combined with citrus fruits. Earthy, complex. I’d give this a few more years. As usual, a wine of tremendous character.

From magnum. Maybe not the most interesting vintage for this wine, it is a little soft, but overall nice and fresh, and quite long. It really does drink somewhat like a red. Lovely stuff, and surely worth following another 5+ years. Actually, it'll probably be a lot more interesting with a little more time.

Nearly a year after the prior: Akoe’s note below describes it well. To that we will echo/ add, it showed a hint of savory orange peel. This was very pleasant over three nights, during which it showed some depth and complexity. But frankly, on both scores it was a bit lacking. Perhaps for more bottle age will reward.

Lots of strawberries and raspberries on the palate with a hint of orange notes and some herbal flavors. Good acidity with more berries, blood orange, citrus zest, and a slight bitterness towards the finish. Lovely wine, although not the most complex rose I've had. I wonder how this will taste in a few years... 91+

First time ever having the rose from them, very nice floral/red fruited nose, get a hint of alcohol, flavors of strawberry and some herbs, this has a nice acidity in the moderate range, is difficult to describe but I like it, will have to pick up some more.

Delicious. Nose of roses, violets, and red fruits. A hint of VA? Not sure. Strawberries and cranberries on the palate with quite a phenolic bite. I think this could actually benefit from a couple more years on the cork. Hold 1-3 years.

A very serious rosé, almost just a light bodied red, with deep cherry and strawberry fruit and even some sweet peach, some notes of earth and cinnamon stick and other spice, red flowers, garrigue. There’s modest tannin, M to M+ acid, M- body for a red or full body for a rosé. Dry but with a suggestion of sweetness anyway from all the juicy fruit. This is excellent and would be great with a wide range of food; we had it with cheeseburgers and herbes de Provence roasted potatoes, and also with cherry pie for dessert. This is a wine that should make almost anyone happy, no matter your stylistic preference. Best rosé I’ve had, not that I’ve had a ton of high end rosé. ~8.5/10

As others have noted this is a pretty serious drinking rose. Even compared to prior vintages there is depth here that is not normally seen.
Strawberry, melon, cranberry, blood orange and herb notes abound on the soft palate. Mid weighted glycerin rounded feel with moderate acidity in 2018. I'll be enjoying these for a few years.

Not what I usually reach for in a Rose, but plenty to like here. The wine's structure is notable, with loads of glycerin (I forgot to check the ABV). Notes of ripe strawberry and some peach. A robust style. Should hold for several years, easily.

Dr’s note below describes this beautifully—from the analogy to some Jura reds to the observation about tannins. Distinctive and highly enjoyable over three nights. We will wait a year at least before opening our next.

Decanted an hour before pouring. Brilliantly deep, even light red, more saturated than many Jura reds. Strawberry, melon rind, and herbs greet you. Medium weight, some glycerine, let's say more the weight of Tempier than Tavel. Spicy fruit flows across the palate seamlessly until the drier, tannic finish arrives. Really conveys the sensation of drinking a red wine that will benefit from another 5+ years of aging. I adored this bottle and would buy it again in a flash.

A stewing pot of jam. Not as tannic as the 2017. Not as airborne as the 2014. Integrated acidity. Chewy, juicy drinkability. A subversive apricot flavor. Really beautiful, serene stuff. A wine and a domaine insulated from fashion, which I find to be helpful for living in the unfolding of time.

Exceptional, truly unique wine. Intensely perfumed, red fruits and agrume, light and airy with persistant flavors and complexity. Expensive, but worth the tarif.

As usual with Simone, light clear red with no hint of salmon colour; very fresh strawberry; gentle, rounded, lots of summer, probably one of the best rosés in the world; this one is singing
