Wednesday, July 15, 2020 - Decanted for an hour before service. In the glass, deep opaque purplish-black. On the nose, blueberries, raspberries, saltwater, and fresh ground pepper. On the palate, lovely aged notes between cedar and mint, paired with blueberries, stone fruit, olives, and a touch of smoke, with a long, clean finish. Like the '09 Jack Robert's Run, this is definitely one of those "if I had known, I would have grabbed a case" wines - the depth and complexity of the aged notes on the palate was a real surprise.
