Saturday, July 18, 2020 - Saturday hangout (socially distanced) (Chicago, IL): The price is definitely high for the appellation, but the quality here more than makes up for it. Served blind, there's no way you wouldn't think this is a much higher level. The nose is exuberant, with a brilliant array of tart red and black fruit as well as a really lovely spice note. On the palate, this has bright acids and freshness, and more of the same spice and fruit. Complex but easy drinking as well.
