First time with this producer, this wine was a bit unique. Quite full and modern yet still interesting. It has an element that keeps the wine from feeling too manipulated but at the same time you can taste the winemakers heavy hand. IT is pretty good though, curious on how this will be in 3-5 years.

Saturday hangout (socially distanced) (Chicago, IL): The price is definitely high for the appellation, but the quality here more than makes up for it. Served blind, there's no way you wouldn't think this is a much higher level. The nose is exuberant, with a brilliant array of tart red and black fruit as well as a really lovely spice note. On the palate, this has bright acids and freshness, and more of the same spice and fruit. Complex but easy drinking as well.

Tasted at Maple & Ash in Chicago, thi wine was ok at the start but developed quite well with a couple hours in a decanter.
While it still had the slightly aggressive edge of a young wine, it had lovely balance and length.
This will likely improve with 5-10 years in the cellar.

Needs some air to open up, or some cellar age. It's a solid bottle of bourgogne but I had higher expectations. A bit simple - maybe just shut down.
