Saturday, August 1, 2020 - Only medium color in appearance. Intoxicating nose - fresh but complex. Black currant leaf, mint, balsamic, forest floor. With some air, particularly on day 2, gorgeous pronounced aromas of smoke, cigar box, tobacco leaf. On the palate, a delicious hit of sweet fruits wrapped in cedar and tobacco, with some exotic spice through the mid-palate. Hints of caramel. There’s a character to this as if every time you taste it, it is different. You could hold onto this, and there is some tannic grip remaining, but based on this bottle, I see no reason not to drink now.
