Wednesday, August 12, 2020 - Doesn’t have the aromatic high notes of the La Tâche of the same vintage last month, but is every bit a detailed, stemmy, floral, and especially spicy DRC. Shows the domaine signature of florals atop the black cherry and oak polish very well, and shows Richebourg spice and pepper very well. A particular liquorice spice. Quite muscular and powerful but never overbearing, and always complimented with a detailed note somewhere along the spectrum to keep it complex. Very enjoyable.
