Saturday, August 15, 2020 - Outdoor Fried Chicken Dinner with Friends (Princeton, NJ): Maybe I am an easy grader tonight, but ... we had this wine with our friend’s homemade, fried chicken in a paprika batter. The chicken was fried quite hot and was perfect. And this wine pairs amazingly well with great, fried chicken.
Notes of apple, fruit but also quite a bit of brioche and toast. The wine was much more complete with the fried chicken pairing (92 points); on its own (89 points) there was more fruit, less brioche and perhaps it was a touch less dry.
This wine is always improved with food. Terrific qpr.
