Saturday, September 5, 2020 - 60% Grenache (60-year-old vines) and 40% Carignan (80-year-old vines) aged 12 months in tank, foudre and used barrels.
Decanted and showing light sediment.
Aromas of moderate intensity show a mix of fig, dried blueberry and dried raspberry meld with rocky and slate notes, sous bois, earth, desecrated violet, mushroom, black tea and garrigues.
The palate shows resolved slightly chewy tannins and above moderate acidity and mid-palate density. Flavors show a mix dried blueberry, fig, plum and dried cherry along with rock, earth, savory herb and tea notes that last through savory finish.
Drink up. I don't see much room for upside with further storage
