slightly oyster shell and salinity, blackcurrant and blackberry, smoked bacon. Juicy acidity, plenty of talc textured tannins that persist long, similar fruit and a little alcohol warmth on the finish which proves to be savoury with aniseed touches. Pleasant.
I guessed old world, not French or Italian but couldn't get much further than that...
