2015 Zaca Mesa Z Cuvée

Monday, September 28, 2020 - This is a pretty good representation of the Rhone blends, but loses a bit when compared to other vintages of the same cuvee. This is a bit timid on the nose except for the extra heat and acidity. At this point in the wine's development, it screams for food. Good solid red fruit and bright acidity leave me asking when this might balance out.
There was really good Grenache, Mourvedre and Syrah estate wines available in 2015, so I hope this blend comes together to show the same potential as the separate components already have.
