Feb-2021 update: had another bottle and was still going strong
This is a very serviceable Rhone style blend with good fruit, brisk acidity, and medium tannins nicely balanced by some oak. Nothing is too overbearing here.
Day 1: with Santa Maria style try-tip sandwiches, potato salad, and pickles. Deep red-purple with a hint of brick red edges. Mild oak and vanilla. Dark fruits (prune?). Tart and well-balanced acidity.
Day 2: with sweet potato ham hash and blackberries. Spiciness with fruit up front. Dinosaur egg plumbs.
Day 3: with sun-dried tomato sausage pasta. No notes taken.

This is a pretty good representation of the Rhone blends, but loses a bit when compared to other vintages of the same cuvee. This is a bit timid on the nose except for the extra heat and acidity. At this point in the wine's development, it screams for food. Good solid red fruit and bright acidity leave me asking when this might balance out. There was really good Grenache, Mourvedre and Syrah estate wines available in 2015, so I hope this blend comes together to show the same potential as the separate components already have.

Reminds of some of the less expensive French Rhône blends I’ve had. Dark fruits, mineral, black tea, pepper and a bit of leather/tobacco. Good QPR for $17. Needs about 2+ hours of air.

I feel this one improves as it breathes. A little spicier than over cuvees from the region. Thin and light wine.

Surprisingly complex. Lots of tart cherry, leather, vanilla and herbs. Great value.
