90 Points

Saturday, October 3, 2020 - A bit disappointing versus expectations. Enjoyable and harmonious but lacks something: edge, power, complexity? Perhaps that will come with time but for now not where I would expect it to be.

10/4/2020 9:38:00 AM - I completely concur having just had a bottle with slow roasted lamb. A typical Pauillac. Good but nothing special. 90 seems a very fair number. Unfortunately I have another 22 in my cellar and having purchased en-primeur I am still hoping for something better . I notice the tasting notes are very variable. I decanted for one hour and certainly didn’t feel it needed longer

10/6/2020 2:42:00 PM - I have 10 bottles left from a case and so will be interested to see how they evolve. The 2005s are proving more challenging than I expected. Perhaps they just need more time? There is a contrast with the 2009s, all of which have been fabulous from early on.
