12/29/2023 8:10:00 AM - You have an impressive cellar. I’ve never tried Issan but did buy two bottles of the 2019 for 20+ years down the road. I hope I like them as much as you!

5/20/2023 6:03:00 AM - D Issan (1999) is my Favorit! Greetings from Austria Reinhard

8/16/2022 7:38:00 AM - I look forward to seeing what you think of the other Ignacio wines, would likely coincide with my next WS order.

5/20/2022 12:13:00 AM - Indeed it was the J.Haart note and then reading your profile. I have myself purchased a few Fritz Haag over the years and still have a few bottles of 2 vintages of his Auslese in my cellar. That said they are 2008 and 2010 pre the change of rules for GG which has made it much easier to identify food friendly wines like GG. I that the Thomas Haag GG need a god 5 or 6 years to smooth out a little to be ready for drinking.

5/19/2022 10:40:00 AM - Thanks for getting in touch! Do you refer to my note on the J. Haart Goldtröpchen? Would love to taste the wines of Thomas Haag, but they do not seem to be available in Norway. However, we have a large range of Fritz Haag's wines at the Norwegian Wine Monopoly, and I am happy to have his Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr Riesling GG '15 in my cellar. Worth tasting again soon!

2/23/2022 1:51:00 PM - Mhb, yes Agata, our fellow CTers, & Eric Guido (also still on CT) would likely be my picks.

8/10/2021 8:55:00 AM - Mhb.....thanks for your kind words! I have always marveled at you people across the pond and your travels.....so many different countries and cultures right near you. Most Americans know nothing of real travel. They going to Disney World in FL is travelling! I have brought back as many as 60 bottles at a time from Napa, but never 200! Heading to Greece in a month, looking to bring back 12 nice bottles, if I can find them! Cheers!

    7/6/2021 1:24:00 AM - AND I love both !

7/6/2021 12:56:00 AM - Thank you for your message! Even though we have lots of coast line in Denmark the crabs are not the biggest here. What we have perfectly though are fresh shrimps and langoustines in the late spring/summer. Just lovely!

5/13/2021 6:33:00 AM - Thanks for the "thumbs up". I appreciate that you take the time to write more complete and informative TNs, and look forward to gaining perspective from your French/European-centric cellar. Agree that passionate vineyard owner/winemakers with a story to share are a joy. Cheers!

3/28/2021 10:20:00 PM - Citizen, many thanks for that. I will obtain a bottle of the 2000. I have my ways and means. There are some '86 on auction here at present but reviews suggest these may be pushing past their best years. My descendants are from Herefordshire - there's a village named after them but the swine didn't see fit to pass on title or riches to me. I like to think it also explains my love of steak. Tootle pip!

  • Rote Kappelle says:

3/28/2021 2:31:00 PM - Thanks for the kind message, comrade. I must see if i can get my paws on some d'Issan - any thoughts on their fare from the 1980's? That is a much loved decade from Bordeaux, for me (less so in music).

  • Rick & Ilsa says:

8/4/2020 8:31:00 PM - Hello Mhbeaune, glad you enjoyed the '11 Fonseca. 12x375 is a very nice stash in exactly the size that is now almost impossible to find. I hope you enjoy these over many healthy years to come. Sante'
