90 Points

Friday, November 20, 2020 - Decanted 1.5 hours. Notes from 3rd day. Dark garnet, suspended sediment. Dark cherry compote nose. Palate follows nose with black cherry compote bittering alongside a sweet core. Medium bodied, fine tannins on medium length final.

Well balanced and not the over the top high alcohol rendition of CdP that I often find with Domain Janasse bottlings. Still, the basic flavours here are a stewed brew of dark fruit - I don't find the delineation of flavour and complexity I typically find in a good Bordeaux or Burgundy.
