Tuesday, January 12, 2021 - This is a splendid and unusual Champagne. First, the color: bright, cherry red, markedly redder than any other rose champagne I've ever seen. Then, the aroma: pomegranate and plum, with an undercurrent of honey -- unexpected and intoxicating. Then: This is a cold-climate Pinot Noir, with discreet, fine bubbles. Light body, no tannin, delicately acidic, with bright red fruit flavors and an aftertaste of almond.
