Really a very pure, integrated, lovely, new world Syrah. Middle of the road in every aspect and showcases the fruit so nicely without overuse of oak or amped-up acidity. Yes, as MOTZ notes, not the most complex version of the grape, but the varietal character/terroir shows so transparently. Still seems to be in its prime drinking window with no hint of advanced age, just beautifully integrated. Good stuff.
