Sunday, April 18, 2021 - Decanted. Now 1.5h after decant. Pale gold. Aromas of lemon, pears, tart apples, minerals, iodine, sea spray. Palate with gala apples, a bit of lemon, unripe pears, nice minerals, iodine, nice saline and chalky midpalate. Excellent acids but rounded by the ripe fruit. Excellent finish of ripe apples, unripe pears, chalky minerals, iodine and saine.The ripe vintage shines through with the pear flavors but well balanced with freshness, acid and the chalky minerals and saline profile. A bigger mouthfeel and weight than say 2014 but still excellent.
